Fast Facts and Figures Some things are just too difficult to measure! Because of our volunteers and donors, last year The Salvation Army was able to provide:
- 46,315 nights of lodging/days of comprehensive care for homeless families and women. 30% of persons sheltered were children
- 145,197 hot meals for the homeless
- Move 325 homeless households into suitable housing through intensive case management
- Emergency assistance for 37,847 financially struggling individuals. Such assistance given included food packages, clothing, personal care items, diapers and formula, and assistance with rent, utility and prescription drug bills
- New gifts and clothing for 6,490 children at Christmastime
- A hearty Christmas Day meal for 734 persons. Most of these individuals were homeless men, women and children. Deliver a meal to 101 homebound persons
- Loving care and quality learning opportunities for 124 children ages six weeks to five years
- After-school care, tutoring, homework help, computer classes, recreation programs, and summer day camp for 580 young people grades K to 12
- 213 children with free weekly music classes
- 156,801 garments distributed to the needy
